Carina Gibbs chose to study on a Beauty Course at Dunstable College because it enabled her to study and gain qualifications in a profession that would fit around raising her four children.
Carina commented, “I was nervous when I first started but the Tutors have made it very enjoyable and are always happy to help in any way. I love the course and want to carry on next year”. Deborah Thompson, Curriculum Manager for Beauty and Holistic Therapies added, “Carina is an inspiration to her peers managing to bring up four children and study at the same time. We would like to encourage more people back into education; courses like this can enable people to find a profession that suits them. Many students go on to set up their own businesses and can fit their work around their home life.”
The Spa courses are suitable for 19+ and offer the opportunity to qualify in many areas of Holistic Therapy and Spa.
Careers could include some of those listed below. Opportunities could be at a gym or Salon or a Spa retreat or even on board a cruise ship. Many Holistic Therapists also choose to work from home or set up their own business in a Salon.
